Jaxx 1st Birthday

Kerri & Marc brought their pack down for a family birthday celebration. I know I say this everytime but it is so much fun when 8 such different personalities get together. It's just one long smilefest.
Raya & Jaxx are partners in crime from the second they meet up & didnt stop playing Chase Me, Skittle Me & Pin Me for the whole 2 days. It takes a lot to drain that girl but after Jaxx had gone home she didnt budge until this morning. Laska was just happy to get a break from Raya's constant "come on play with me, Laska. Play with me!".
Timba has always had a thing for Tryn & not given Reign much attention but this time that girl had something irresistible going on. You could just see what was going through his head: "Wow! Why have I not noticed this hotty before?? Where have you been all my life, sweet thing? Hubba Hubba!"
Reign is too much of a lady for that kind of thing of course but it didnt stop him trying.

Timba also felt the need to put his son in his place a few times which was really mean because Jaxx just adores his dad. Poor boy doesnt understand that now he has grown into such a handsome guy Timba has to let him know that there is only room for one studmuffin around here.

The two old matriarchs Jazz & Tryn see it as their job to keep everyone in line & anyone having a little too much fun is soundly stomped on! Trophy sticks are taken from the kids & heaven help anyone who tries to take them back! Raya hasnt quite figured out that she needs to respect her elders & is still getting into trouble with the old uns.

Then there's Moose. Poor Moose. Seems the Shilohs think it is just the best fun ever to gang up on him. Dont feel too sorry for him though. I have seen him deliberately goad Timba just to get him in trouble then grin his head off.

By the way, Kerri & Marc are the best houseguests. Not only did they bring enough steaks to the party for us AND the dogs but they took us out for lunch & cooked supper too!

Announcing the next Timbaland litter May 2011

We are expecting our second litter from Timba & Alaska in the first week of May 2011.
So excited about this. If their brothers & sisters from the first litter are anything to go by these are going to be some AWESOME puppies.

After a great walk we wanted to relax a while in the hot tub but the dogs had other ideas. All five of them were arguing over one ball even though there are dozens everywhere. I took that off them so then they decided to chase the turkeys who had been stupid enough to put in an appearance. After treeing all 27 of them Timba then spotted a deer. "Hmmm - not allowed to chase them but hey the humans are in the hot tub so who's gonna stop me?" He took off with wingman Raya in tow & so I had to climb out of the tub & give chase through the snow in nothing but my swimsuit. Timba had not expected that & when he spotted me he knew he was in deep doodoo.
They ended up in timeout & I could finally climb back into the tub for my glass of wine & some peace!

Miss Raya Sunshine

Raya is our 3rd Shiloh. She came to us in August 2010 from Epic kennels in Ontario & is going to steal the limelight from Timba. At 8 months old she is already over 80 lbs & the 1st thing anyone says when they meet her is "wow". Stunning to look at and a wonderful fun loving temperament, this girl already has the other dogs (& me ) totally under her spell.  

Timba & Laska's first litter

In March 2010 our first litter was on the ground.  8 healthy pups started arriving just before midnight on the 19th March & continued through the night until the last one was born in the early hours, one dual boy, one sable boy 2 sable girls & 4 buff (white) girls. Laska was a fantastic mum but I got no sleep for the next week as I was up & checking every time I heard so much as a squeak. This was not my first litter but you would  have thought it was vbg. All of the pups are now in the most fantastic homes, Cazen & Jaxx have their own blogs & I could not be happier with how my babies are growing up into everything I hoped they would be. So much so that we plan on repeating the breeding this month.

Alaska - Daysprings Kodiak Midnight Sun

Started looking fo my 2nd Shiloh when Timba was a year old but it was a long search. Finally in August 2008 our girl Laska joined the pack from Dayspring Kennels. She is a sweetheart with a naughty streak.
